Our Land Surveying teams are headed-up by Simon Taylor.  Simon, ably assisted by Martyn Christopher, has been working with us since the mid 1980s.  Simon and Martyn have been trained internally as land surveyors and have carried out and controlled projects throughout mainland Europe and the United Kingdom.

Simon regularly meets clients either on-site, in their offices or here at Orchard House to discuss the requirements of specific projects.  His huge on-site experience enables him to tailor the surveying work to the actual needs of the client, thus frequently saving significant unnecessary expenditure.

Simon also co-ordinates our other land surveying teams and ensures (on large projects) that the work is carried out with the utmost attention to efficiency.  Martyn is able to advise our other teams on the practical aspects of data capture.

 Particular area of expertise:

Simon has specialised in preparing land surveys for the leisure and retail industries and his regular clients include garden-centres, caravan-site owners, golf-course designers and football clubs.  Whilst able to turn his hand to any mapping project, internal or external, it is in the area of leisure and sports planning that Simon is able to add that little bit extra that only comes with experience.

Simon’s hobbies include playing golf (he has a handicap of 8) cricket (he is a demon fast bowler) and looking after his new son.  Martyn is a keen follower of AFC Bournemouth and a dedicated family man.
